IT’S OFFICIAL: New Era University Named One of the Local Testing Centers for the 2025 Bar Examinations

Quezon City – On the occasion of its 50th founding anniversary, New Era University (NEU) marked a historic milestone as it formally signed the Terms and Conditions with the Supreme Court of the Philippines to serve as one of the official Local Testing Centers (LTCs) for the September 2025 Bar Examinations.

The ceremonial signing was held on June 17, 2025 (Tuesday) at the New Era University Library, located at 9 Central Avenue, Quezon City, and was led by Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy C. Lazaro-Javier, Chairperson of the 2025 Bar Examinations, and Dr. Alberto R. Domingo Jr., University President and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of New Era University.

This formal partnership was confirmed just days before the Supreme Court, through its Public Information Office (PIO), released the official announcement on June 20, 2025 (Friday), naming New Era University as one of the 14 Local Testing Centers nationwide. NEU is one of only seven LTCs in the National Capital Region (NCR) and is the sole testing center located in Quezon City.

As announced in Bar Bulletin No. 3, Series of 2025, the final LTC assignments of examinees will be available through their BARISTA accounts on June 24, 2025 (Tuesday). The Supreme Court emphasized that while first venue preferences were considered, assignments were made based on the limited slots available per center, with second and third preferences duly factored in.

The timing of this partnership is especially meaningful for NEU, as it coincides with several historic milestones for the institution and the Iglesia Ni Cristo community it serves. This year marks the 50th founding anniversary of New Era University, the 25th anniversary of the NEU College of Law, and the 100th birth anniversary of Bro. Eraño G. Manalo, whose leadership saw the expansion of NEU into higher education. In addition, September, the month of the Bar Examinations, commemorates the anniversary of Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo’s appointment as Executive Minister, and this year also celebrates the appointment of Bro. Angelo Eraño V. Manalo as Deputy Executive Minister.
