The history of New Era University – Pampanga reflects a journey of resilience and growth amidst challenges. Established on June 23, 1994, the university initially utilized the EVCO compound in San Fernando for its classrooms under the guidance of Dr. Corazon V. Liwayway as the first Principal. Despite the adversities caused by the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo, the university persevered, temporarily relocating to the Locale Congregation of Lourdes in Angeles City.
Over the years, the university underwent several transitions, eventually settling in a permanent campus along McArthur Highway, Brgy. Dela Paz Norte, City of San Fernando, inaugurated on January 5, 2002. Bro. Florentino T. Doqueña Jr. was appointed as the first principal of the new campus.
In 2010, the university expanded its offerings to include College Courses, starting with the BEED program under the supervision of Brother Julio M. Delgado. Under the leadership of Brother Orlando M. Cabigting Jr., the College Department received accreditation for Baccalaureate Degree Programs in January 2012.
Bro. Albert R. Domingo Jr. took over supervision from May 13, 2013, to February 1, 2023, during which significant milestones were achieved, including the celebration of the 25th anniversary in June 2019 and the accreditation of various programs such as Elementary, High School, Business Administration, and Education.
Additionally, partnerships with organizations like Scholastic Inc. were established to enhance the quality of education. Approval for new degree programs, such as BS Information Systems, BSBA-Major in Banking and Finance, BS Psychology, BS Economics, and AB Political Science, further enriched the university's academic offerings.
One of the most memorable events was the courtesy call made by school personnel to Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, the beloved Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, after 23 years, during the 23rd Founding Anniversary celebration.
On February 1, 2023, Bro. Alberto R. Domingo Jr. was appointed as the new University President, marking a significant transition for the institution. Subsequently, on August 14, 2023, Bro. Norman U. Ramos assumed the role of Branch Director.
Currently, New Era University – Pampanga boasts a vibrant community comprising 696 Elementary and High School Students, 142 College Students, 41 faculty, 18 staff members, and 17 Ministers and Ministerial Workers dedicated to nurturing the welfare of the Branch.
