Admission

Admission presupposes that a student’s application has satisfactorily met all the entrance requirements of the University. Enrolment in the University is a contractual relationship between the students and the Administration. A student is admitted with definite understanding that he and his parents or guardians agree to comply with the scholastic standards of the University and its rules governing student’s behavior. The administration is empowered to deal with violations in accordance with its systems of discipline and guidance. Admission to the University is made with no discrimination on the grounds of religious belief, race, sex, age or physical disability. A student seeking admission to the University must be a graduate of a standard secondary course offered by a duly recognized school and must have passed the NEU Admission Test and Medical & Physical Examination. A student whose eligibility for admission has been verified must submit to the Registrar or his authorized representatives the following:




Admission Procedure (NEU SHS Graduates)



1. Submission of Requirements
  Prepare the digitized copy of following documents:
  i. PSA Authenticated Birth Certificate
  ii. 2x2 Picture with white background
  iii. For Freshmen
   Senior High School Report Card (F-138)
  iv. For Transferees and Graduate School

2. Pre-qualification
  After document verification, you will be notified by the Admission Officer of your Admission Test schedule and Room Assignments.
3. Admission Test
  - Go to your respective Testing Room 30 minutes before the scheduled time
  - Payment will be collected at the Testing Room before the examination proper
4. Notification of Results
  - Results will be sent by the Admission Office to your registered e-mail address 5 – 7 days after the Test
  - You will be endorsed to the respective Dean’s Office for Interview, Advising, and Enrollment.

Admission Procedure (for non-NEU SHS Graduates)



1. Submission of Requirements
  Prepare the digitized copy of following documents:

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE FOR NEW & OLD TERTIARY STUDENTS

STEP 1
ADVISING
  • Log in to SchoolAutomate (https://automate.neu.edu.ph)
  • Click PARENTS/STUDENTS
  • New students: Use your temporary ID as log in ID and password Old students: Use your user name and password
  • Click the Enrollment tab then Online Advising
  • Click Schedule (under Assign Section, Last Column Right) to choose the schedule then click Proceed
  • Click Save and take note of the assessment of fees and amount to be paid
STEP 2
PAYMENT
  • Proceed to https://payment.neu.edu.ph for payment instructions

  • The PROOF OF PAYMENT must be submitted WITHIN 24 HOURS from the time Online Advising/Reservation was done
STEP 3
COM / OR
  • For Old Students, please check your SchoolAutomate account. If payment has been posted, your enrollment is confirmed and you will see a copy of your Certificate of Matriculation (COM) in the “FEES PAID DURING ENROLMENT” tab.
  • For New Students, upon receipt of a copy of your Official Receipt (OR), please take note of your permanent Student ID Number (21-xxxxx-xxx) located on the upper part. Please use your Student ID Number (INCLUDING HYPHENS) as User Name and Password to access your SchoolAutomate account (https://automate.neu.edu.ph → PARENTS/STUDENTS) After logging in, create your own log in ID and password. Make sure that this is successful. Log in using your new log in ID and password.
    Log in ID will have NEU as prefix. You will see a copy of your Certificate of Matriculation (COM) in the “FEES PAID DURING ENROLMENT” tab.
STEP 4
START OF CLASSES
  • Visit the NEU website media account for advisory on the start of regular/online classes.


Foreign Student Procedure



Certificate of Eligibility

Provide Certificate of Eligibility to study in the Philippines from
Department of Education

Letter of Intent

(1) For INC Member - Certificate of Membership, (2) For NON-INC Member - Letter of Intent from the applicant and Endorsement Letter from the INC member and a Local Resident Minister of INC Locale nearest to applicant's residence attesting to his/her being good and law abiding citizen.

Scholastic Records/Transfer of Credentials

Submit Scholastic Records/Transfer of Credentials duly authenticated by the Philippine Consulate General or Philippine Embassy with English Translation, if written in other foreign language ("SEEN and NOTED"
stamp is not acceptable)

Authenticated copy of Good Moral Certificate (from previous school)

2"x2" Identical ID Pictures

Six (6) copies of 2"x2" Identical ID Pictures white background with
printed name and signature of applicant at the back.

Birth Certificate of Applicant

(1) If born abroad with foreign citizenship - Birth Certificate duly authenticated by the Philippine Consulate General or Philippine Embassy,
(2) If born abroad with Filipino Parent/s - Philippine Statistics Authority Report of Birth, (3) If born in the Philippines with Filipino Parent/s - Birth certificate duly authenticated by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)



Admission and Enrollment Procedure for New Students (Preschool, Grade School, and Junior High School)



A. Onsite Class Students


1. Fill-out online Application Form thru this link application form. Attach digitized Form 138/SF-9, Good Moral Certificate, and PSA Birth Certificate, ESC Certificate (for ESC Grantees) most recently taken passport size ID photo and signed the (Signed Requirement Agreement Form)

You will receive the application evaluation result through email.

2. Pay the Admission Processing Fee at the Cashier‘s Office or through online payment portal payment.neu.edu.ph.

3. Present the Official Receipt (OR) at the Guidance Office and get the schedule for Entrance Test. After taking the examination, you will receive the result through email.

4. Undergo an interview with the Office of Student Discipline (OSD) personnel.

5. Submit Chest X-ray film with the result and Medical Certificate at the Integrated School (IS) Clinic. Upon approval, you will receive an assessment of matriculation fees and payment procedure through email.

6. Pay the matriculation fee at the Cashier’s Office or through the online payment portal and receive the Certificate of Matriculation (COM) and the Official Receipt (OR).

B. Online Class Students


1. Fill-out online Application Form thru this link application form. Attach digitized Form 138/SF-9, Good Moral Certificate, and PSA Birth Certificate, ESC Certificate (for ESC Grantees) most recently taken passport size ID photo and signed the (Signed Requirement Agreement Form)
