EduRank Places NEU On Among Top 100 Universities in the Philippines

Manila, Philippines - The New Era University (NEU) placed no. 70 in the Top 100 universities in the Philippines by EduRank based on research outputs, non-academic prominence, and alumni influence as of February 29, 2024.

EduRank rankings are determined by analyzing 500,000 citations received by 58.8K academic publications made by 229 universities from the Philippines, the popularity of 1,093 recognized alumni, and the largest reference database available.

NEU's ranking placed it ahead of Philippine Christian University, Centro Escolar University, Philippine Women’s University, National Defense College of the Philippines, National University, Philippines, and AMA Computer University.

According to EduRank, New Era University with a calculated 90% acceptance rate ranked as the 3,170 best university across Asia and 8,067 in the world based on the metric ranking of 14,131 universities from 183 countries.

EduRank utilizes the world's largest scholarly papers database with more than 98 million scientific publications and billions of citations to rank universities across 246 research topics. In the overall rankings, EduRank also add non-academic prominence and alumni popularity indicators.

With the latest ranking, New Era University also emerged as Top 4 among 16 best universities in Quezon City as the EduRank reported having the University of the Philippines ranked on the first, Ateneo de Manila as second and Miriam College on the 3rd rank.

Notable alumni of NEU mentioned on the EduRank report include former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista; multi-awarded singer and actress Yasmin Kurdi; TV host, anchor, and a multi-awarded actress Gladys Reyes-Sommereux; a known Broadcast-Journalist Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna; Filipino singer Elaine Duran and Anita Ramos-Camba, a film and television reporter, director, and producer.

NEU President Dr. Alberto Domingo, Jr. again reiterated that “with God's help and mercy, we will prevail. The lyrics of the NEU Hymn do not lose its aptness and timeliness. Always relevant.” Dr. Domingo quoted the last part of the lyrics of NEU Hymn that says "we pledge to Thee eternal loyalty, we will WIN for Thee more FAME and GLORY, with fervent prayers to the Almighty, we’ll be UNITED till eternity. GLORY TO GOD, our Lord Almighty, and Selfless Service to Humanity."
