NEU College of Nursing Successfully Conducts its 14th Cap and Pin Ceremonies

New Era University College of Nursing (NEUCN) held its 14th Cap and Pin Ceremonies on November 5, 2022 (Saturday) at the EGM Hall EVM Convention Center, Central Avenue, Quezon City. Two hundred twenty two (222) nursing students from BSN Batch 2023, 2024 and 2025 with their parents and relatives filled the state of the art venue.
The Cap and Pin Ceremonies is a very important event in the life of a nursing student. The cap symbolizes the crown of the nursing profession. Anyone who has been accorded with the right to wear it, is also being accorded with the right to perform the noble profession of caring for the sick.
On the other hand, the pin as an emblem, carries the symbol of the institution one represents, that is the New Era University. This represents excellence and commitment to quality education which is anchored on Christian values. Having as its vision – To become a world-class Institution of learning with a unique Christian culture of Excellence, discipline and service to humanity. The pin also carries the symbol of the nursing profession. Thus further expanding the University’s role to incorporate its vision in the Nursing profession.
Gemma S. Colcol, R.N.,M.A.N., PhD, Assistant Chief Nurse delivered the keynote address to the students. Dr. Nilo L. Rosas, NEU President delivered the heartwarming closing remarks.
Dean Simonnette B. Leoncio, the Guest Speaker, Gemma S. Colcol and Prof. Joanna Elaine S. Salas crowned the cap to the female student nurses. Bro. Dan Omar S. Leybag and the CoN Dean donned the pin to the male student nurses.
With the support of the Church and University Administration, NEU College of Nursing aims to continue producing committed, competent, disciplined, and service oriented nurses.
